SUMMARY

The Planning Manager will lead, develop, and manage the project planning strategy & will drive Fulfillment 5 across (Safety, Quality, Productivity, On-Time-Delivery, and Cost) pillars by implementing planning best practices across all segments. This position

will implement standardized, consistent planning approach & rigor to ensure each job is prepared for effective execution regarding mobilization requirements, EHS compliance, field execution and project post outage review.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive region Fulfillment 5 capabilities by implementing systematic planning

  • Implement processes and procedures to ensure Operations and field teams understand the Scope of Work for each project prior to mobilization

  • Work with the regional GSI/GE team to plan site logistics needs for each project in order to prepare for effective execution, taking into account site configuration, procedures, tools, competency, and manning levels

  • Build detailed site familiarization packs, detailing site specifics for site laydown plans, LOTO, PTW, Roof maps, broken bolt mapping, EHS requirements, technical & EHS documentation

  • Ensure the tooling requests for projects are aligned with the project scope of work & compliance with the requirements of each job

  • Develop regional crane and scaffold management plans to optimize resources

  • Drive regional site layout planning; manage changes to the plan and any impact those changes may have on other project components

  • Implement and maintain meeting rhythms, processes, and documentation to strengthen planning capabilities

  • Drive and measure productivity initiatives in every outage plan

  • Identify regional / global best practices and incorporate them into project planning to maximize efficiency and effectiveness

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to ensure business objectives are met

  • Document lessons learned and establish methods for improvement in future projects

  • Establish a road map and timeline to reach optimal regional targets based on site configuration, procedures, tools, competency, and manning

  • Perform other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent communication and management skills and strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels of employees

  • Expert in power generation outage maintenance

  • Strong project planning and organizational skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects / segments concurrently

  • Ability to manage by influence

  • Very results-oriented

  • Work well both independently and in a team environment, including in remote work settings

  • Ability to travel, including internationally, 50% of the time

  • English proficiency requiredEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with minimum three years of Field Engineer or Project management experience; additional years of experience in power generation can be substituted for degree

  • Strong experience in Power generation
