Position Purpose:

Responsible of ensuring effective execution of bulk, grain and oilseeds commodities vessel movement as per prevailing terms and conditions. This includes: Supply Chain Planning, Contract Management, Logistics and Execution, Customer and client interaction / business partnership, systems/data management, reporting and analysis.

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Reviewing all contractual discharge & demurrage terms including lay-time calculations, following up vessel status with ETA & ETB to monitor shipment period

  • Appointing protective supervision companies at load and/or discharge port along with stevedoring company & discharge port vessel agents

  • Providing documentary instructions to suppliers and supervision companies along with approving draft shipping documents as per loaded quality and quantity

  • Following up all periodic system updates including contract, pricing and data related to quantity loaded & discharge

  • Creation of Proforma Invoice, Invoice, Insurance & Bank cover letter to manage timely presentation of shipping documents to Bank for payment

  • Evaluate warehousing requirements and vessel arrival schedules to plan storage and transportation requirements

  • Negotiations with 3rdparty service providers for securing w/h space and trucks for flawless movement of commodities

  • Following LOI process for discharging in case delay in shipping documents & complying 3rdparty warehousing approval process to minimize storage risks

  • Monitoring vessel line up at discharge port and working parallel options to have early berthing and minimizing demurrage bills

  • Periodic reporting on volume, trucking, transportation and warehousing cost, shrink impact and Insurance

  • Managing periodical stock positions in 3rdparty warehouses and ensuring to follow all defined quality compliances

  • Monitoring requirement of internal movement of goods for aeration and other reasons to minimize cost or such operation and maintaining quality of goods

  • Ensure continuous communication between operations and SC team regarding the internal and 3rdparty warehouses / storage facilities

  • Reviewing all invoices for discharge, storage & transportation to manage service providers

  • Constant communication with Internal & External teams to effective manage smooth flow of SC related activities

  • Maintaining key performance indicators & assessments to measure success and value generated to business



  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant field, preferred Supply Chain or Logistics background

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Trade Execution, International Logistics and Bulk Shipping

  • Proficiency in computers especially with Excel formulas and applications

  • Good command on English language

  • Flexible to travel frequently between Cairo and Alexandria

  • Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

  • Demonstrates high performance (work performance, attendance & safety record)

  • Deep knowledge of Egyptian Port conditions & Warehouse spaces
