  • Proven experience at https://resources.workable.com/collection-specialist-interview-questions as a Collection Specialist or similar role

  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques (e.g. skip tracing)

As a Collections Lead you will lead and supervise a collection team and ensure they meet the targets, work closely with the team and support to manage the Collections and Queries activities according to a clear policy in terms of efficiency (priority setting, to do lists, shared customers, registration & follow up) and effectiveness (minimal overdues and queries). You will receive predetermined work assignments that are subject to a high level of control and review. And you will use established guidelines, procedures and policies in order to minimize the outstanding receivables and the day’s sales outstanding.

Job placement in the organisation: Reports to the Collections Manager.

You are responsible for:

  • Organizing, supporting and developing accounts receivable process.

  • Establishing, implementing, and maintaining an effective delinquency control and follow-up program for all customer accounts that are late.

  • Executing the collection process for strategic customers

  • Performing remaining enabling Order to Cash/Credit Control activities (e.g. credit notes with open items)

  • Organizing, supporting and developing cash & collection process

  • Following up on relevant queries and solving escalations in close cooperation with businesses

  • Initiating process improvements.

  • Work closely with the billing team and communicate effectively for solving billing issues

  • Providing on-going support, monitoring and coaching to Collection team (both internally and externally).

We are looking for:

  • Bachelor in Accounting or related Field.

  • Minimum 3 years+ of working experience with accounting, collections, account receivables.

  • Customer service focus

  • Commercial sensitivity and business savvy

  • Show determination to achieve excellent results

  • Experienced with Excel (SAP would be a plus)

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Team player, Open minded change agent

  • Familiar and comfortable with a large, international, multi-matrix environment

  • Mentoring, coaching skills

  • Good level of English in reading and writing (speaking would be a plus)
