Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opportunity for Lead AMO Specialist to join our team in Egypt

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Employee is responsible for testing, maintenance, and repair ofvarious electronic assemblies.

  • Completes all required documentation on failure analysis and requiredrepairs.

  • Assists in reworking, repairing and modifying nonconformingequipment.

  • Provides technical support to other groups and co-workers.

  • Ability to coach other technicians.

  • Performs tests with instructions and documentation.

  • Troubleshoots tests and assembles electrical and electromechanicalassemblies.

  • Assists in configuring, preparing, maintaining, utilizing and/ordesigning test stations and test equipment


  • High School Diploma/GED required.

  • 5 years’ experience as an experience AMO ElectronicsTechnician.

  • Open hole experienced required and some knowledgeof Cased Hole.

  • Excellent experience in Wireline Systems.

  • Quality and HSE knowledge.


  • Team lead or supervisory experience.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in ateam environment.

  • Expert analytical skills andknowledge of specific products.

  • Advanced knowledge of testingprocedures and specific equipment required to perform repair and maintenance.

  • Good verbal and writing skills.

  • Advanced skills in soldering andassembling of electro-mechanical devices.

  • Proficient in the use ofmulti-meters, meggers, hippo testers and other basic electronic instruments.

  • Can read, interpret blueprints,wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists.

  • Competent in AC/DC circuits andelectronic devices.

  • Has advanced level of analyticalability to find solutions to complex technical problems.

  • Must be proficient introubleshooting and solving electrical/mechanical failures to component level.
