Oracle Communications Global Business Unit (CGBU) represents Oracle in the communications industry. Oracle CGBU is responsible for the development, marketing, sales and consulting of Oracle Communications specific products, and leads Oracle’s strategy in the communications industry. The Oracle Communications Network portfolio consists of the following products:

  • Session Delivery and IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem)

o Session Border Controller (SBC/P-CSCF/ATCF/ATGW/ETCF…)

o Core Session Manager (I/S-CSCF)

o Evolved Application Server

o Session Router (SIP proxy, SIP load balancer for peering scenarios)

o Session aware Load Balancer (SIP load balancer for access scenarios)

o Interactive Session Recorder (Compliancy Recording)

o Operations Monitor (IMS Monitoring and Troubleshooting System)

  • Signaling

o Signaling Transfer Point (Eagle)

o Diameter Routing/Edge Agent (DSR product)

The Oracle Communications senior Sales position has been created to support the significant investment Oracle has and continues to make in the Communications Market. The Sales Representative will be responsible for selling the Oracle Communications products in Egypt with focus on the strategic customer/s.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a main contact point for strategic telco customer for Oracle CGBU opportunities.

  • Understanding customers’ strategic direction and associated business plans

  • Implementing Oracle CGBU account strategy.

  • Sales and marketing support with wide technical system level expertise and deep business understanding.

  • Expertise in selling/marketing and Oracle solutions knowledge. Contributing to relationship management.

  • Creating long-term business development plans and positioning of technology strategy, solutions and products to match with customer needs.

  • Developing understanding of customers’ key business drivers and using this knowledge for creating profitable business opportunities and growth in market share for Oracle CGBU

  • Fulfilling Oracle process for lifecycle management and quarterly forecast

  • Proactively identifies, develops & wins Oracle CGBU business in line with Oracle’s growth and profitability targets; and grow market share.

Account Management:

  • Builds & manages trust-based, long-term relationships with customers’ Technical, SCM, Logistics departments and management teams.

  • Positions Oracle as a preferred solution and services partner.

  • Articulates in clear and effective manner value proposition of services to customer

  • Negotiates Customer contracts in alignment with commercial and legal organizations (Acceptance, Invoicing, payment terms, etc.)

  • Communicates clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives (account plan, Forecast) to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Successful track record of selling network products into the communications industry within the Egypt market.

  • Good knowledge of Egypt communications industry, market drivers and company strategies.

  • At least 5 years of successfully selling Network domain solutions.

  • Established relationships at various levels throughout customer organisations, with proven influence on completed sales.

  • Demonstrable experience in selling to key influencers, stakeholders, committees and decision makers.

  • Proven ability and track record to individually perform all aspects of a sales cycle from gaining initial interest to closure and beyond.

  • Consistently achieved or exceeded sales quota objectives.

  • Demonstrated success in appropriately utilizing company resources to close business.

  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory (mainly Tier 3 accounts).

Primary job duty is to sell business applications software/solutions and related services to prospective and existing customers. Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning. Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application. Participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition. Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale. Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience including 7 years of sales experience. Successful sales track record. Ability to penetrate accounts, meet with stakeholders within accounts. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle

  • s competitors. Interaction with C level players. Team player with strong interpersonal /communication skills. Excellent communication/negotiating/closing skills with prospects/customers. Travel may be needed. Bachelor degree or equivalent.
